Prof. Shin participated as a panelist at the ESG Tourism Session of the Jeju Forum titled "Strategies for Low-Carbon Tourism through ESG Management - Focusing on Jeju Integrated Resorts," which took place at the Jeju International Convention Center on June 2, 2023. During the discussion, he emphasized the importance of adopting a demand-centered perspective in addition to a supplier-oriented approach in implementing ESG practices. He argued that, similar to the evaluation of an individual's financial value using credit scores, we need to analyze individuals' environmental activities and develop an environmental score preemptively in the tourism industry.
