신학승 교수는 한-아세안센터에서 지난 12월 2일 캄보디아에서 주최한 세미나 (주제: 디지털 시대의 기회를 열다: 관광 산업 강화를 위한 신기술 및 모범 사례)에 참석하였습니다. 신학승 교수는 한국의 디지털 전환 정책분석과 이를통한 캄보디아 디지털 관광개발 제언을 주제로 발표를 진행하였습니다. 발표이후 패널토론에서는 개발도상국의 성공적인 디지털 기반 관광개발을 위한 민관협력방안, 디지털 관광개발의 장기적 자생력 확보전략, 그리고 다가오는 인공지능 시대의 관광산업 인력의 성공적인 경력개발 방안에 대하여 논의하였습니다. 본 세미나에는 캄보디아 관광부의 피룸 마닛 부국장, 딜로이트 인도지사의 니샨트 제인 상무, Visit Inc. 의 조용원 대표, SOPHIYA Travel and Tours의 스렛 몸 소피어 대표를 비롯하여 캄보디아 및 한국의 관광정책 담당자 및 종사원들이 참석하였습니다.

Prof. Shin participated in the seminar hosted by the ASEAN-Korea Centre in Cambodia on December 2, titled "Unlocking Opportunities in the Digital Age: New Technologies and Best Practices to Strengthen the Tourism Industry." During the seminar, he delivered a presentation on the topic of “Growth of tourism in the era of digitalization: Korea's policies and practices.” Following the presentation, he joined a panel discussion that explored various subjects, including strategies for successful public-private partnerships in digital tourism development in developing countries, approaches to ensuring long-term sustainability in digital tourism initiatives, and pathways for effective career development for the tourism workforce in the emerging era of artificial intelligence. The seminar was attended by various stakeholders such as Phyrum Mannit, Deputy Director General of Cambodia's Ministry of Tourism, Nishant Jain, Executive Director at Deloitte India, Cho Yong-Won, CEO of Visit Inc., Sreat Mom Sophear, CEO of SOPHIYA Travel and Tours, as well as tourism policymakers and practitioners from Cambodia and Korea.
