On October 16, 2025, Professor Shin delivered a keynote speech titled “Tourism Trend Analysis and Strategies for the Development of Marine Leisure Tourism in Siwha Lake” at the “2025 Siwha Lake Marine Strategy International Forum,” jointly hosted by Gyeonggi Province, Hwaseong City, Ansan City, and Siheung City. In his presentation, Professor Shin examined the upcoming era of the tourism renaissance and proposed a range of strategies for the sustainable development of marine leisure tourism around Siwha Lake. In particular, he outlined concrete measures such as introducing experience-based marine leisure and wellness programs, designating Siwha Lake as a special zone for birdwatching tourism with dedicated program development, and creating marine leisure products utilizing renewable energy and non-motorized systems, thereby presenting a clear vision for the future of Siwha Lake’s marine leisure industry.
