신학승 교수는 현재 한양대학교 관광학부에서 부교수로 재직 중이며, 한양대학교 부임 전에는 2020년부터 2021년까지 영국 서리대학교(University of Surrey)에서 관광·호스피탈리티 프로그램 조교수(lecturer)로 근무하였습니다. 2012년과 2015년 한양대학교에서 각각 관광학 학사와 석사 학위를 취득하였으며, 2020년에는 미국 버지니아텍(Virginia Polytechnic Institute and State University)에서 경영학 박사 학위를 취득하였습니다. 신학승 교수의 연구는 Tourism Management, Annals of Tourism Research, Journal of Travel Research 등 국제적으로 저명한 관광 SSCI 저널에 게재되었습니다. 현재 신학승 교수는 Journal of Travel Research의 편집위원으로 활동하고 있으며, 2023과 2024년 엘스비어(Elsevier) 연구 성과 데이터를 기반으로 세계 상위 2% 연구자로 연속 선정되었습니다.
Dr. Hakseung Shin currently holds the position of associate professor in the School of Tourism at Hanyang University. Prior to joining this program, he served as an assistant professor (lecturer) in the hospitality and tourism program at the University of Surrey from 2020 to 2021. He obtained his Bachelor's and Master's degrees in tourism management from Hanyang University in 2012 and 2015 respectively. In 2020, he completed his doctoral degree in business administration at the Virginia Polytechnic Institute and State University. His research has been published in esteemed tourism SSCI journals including Tourism Management, Annals of Tourism Research, and Journal of Travel Research. He holds the position of editorial board member at the Journal of Travel Research. Prof. Shin has been selected as one of the top 2% of researchers globally based on research performance data from Elsevier for 2023 and 2024.
